Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
The short version. The full policy below is what applies.
- We collect data when you use the Game, the website and their services, including everything you send through FEEDBACK and technical data about your device and how you use the Services.
- We keep it. We may keep the data we collect for as long as we choose, including indefinitely, unless the law requires us to delete it.
- We may use it for any lawful purpose, including running and improving the Game, research, and training, testing and improving artificial intelligence and machine learning models, ours or our partners'.
- Using the Services is your choice. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the Game, the website or any of our services.
1. Who we are and what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how the makers and operators of AI Thrones ("we", "us" or "our") collect, store, use, share and otherwise process information about you when you use the game AI Thrones: The Rising on any platform, including TestFlight builds (the "Game"); the website aithrowns.app (the "Website"); and the in-game feedback service and any other services we offer (together, the "Services"). It forms part of our Terms of Use.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy and agree that your information will be collected, kept and used as described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Data we collect
Information you send us
- Feedback and messages: everything you write to us through FEEDBACK in the Game or any other channel, and your replies in a conversation with us.
- Screenshots and attachments: any pictures you choose to attach, and anything visible in them.
- A display name, if you give one.
- Any other information you choose to include, including personal information. Please do not send personal information you do not want us to collect, keep and use as described in this policy.
Information collected automatically
- Identifiers: a random player ID and secret key the Game creates on your device. These are not your name, Apple ID, email address or advertising ID.
- Device and app data: Game version and build, platform, device model, operating system and version, language, and similar technical details.
- Game context: where you were in the Game when you sent something, such as the screen, stage and difficulty level, and other gameplay information we may include.
- Connection and log data: your IP address (which can show your approximate location), the date and time of requests, the pages or endpoints you reach, browser type, and errors. Our servers and hosting and network providers record this automatically.
- Usage and gameplay data: we may collect information about how you play and use the Services, such as stages played, wins and losses, choices, settings, session times, performance, crashes and errors. Future versions of the Game may collect more of this automatically.
Team sign-in
Members of our team who sign in to the Website's team area with Google give us their name, email address and Google account identifier, and receive a session cookie.
Information we do not collect today
The Game does not currently ask for your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone or photo library (screenshots are taken inside the Game), and does not currently use advertising identifiers or third-party advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy.
3. How we collect it
Directly from you when you send it; automatically from your device and from our servers when you use the Services; and from service providers such as app stores, payment providers, hosting providers and sign-in providers, as allowed by their terms.
4. How we use it
We may use any of the information we collect for any lawful purpose, including to:
- provide, operate, maintain and support the Services;
- read, answer and keep track of your feedback, and show you our replies;
- find and fix bugs, crashes and performance problems;
- understand how players use the Services, and design, test, balance and improve the Game and create new games, features and content;
- develop, train, test, evaluate and improve artificial intelligence and machine learning models and systems (see section 5);
- conduct research and analysis, and create statistics and aggregated or de-identified data, which we may use and share for any purpose;
- quote, show or publish feedback, ideas and screenshots, for example in news posts, change lists, marketing or community material, without your name or other directly identifying details unless you agree;
- communicate with you about the Services, including updates and changes to our terms;
- process purchases and donations, if and when we offer them;
- protect the Services, our team, our players and others, including preventing spam, abuse, fraud, cheating and security incidents, and enforcing our Terms;
- comply with the law, respond to legal requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- in connection with any merger, sale, financing, reorganisation or transfer of the Game or our business.
5. Artificial intelligence
AI Thrones is built with the help of artificial intelligence. By using the Services, you understand and agree that:
- the information we collect, including your feedback, messages, screenshots, game context and usage data, may be read and processed by AI assistants and agents that help us run the Services, triage and answer feedback, and build and fix the Game;
- we may use that information, in identifiable, de-identified or aggregated form, to train, fine-tune, test, evaluate and improve AI and machine learning models, including models that play the Game, design levels, balance numbers, or generate text, art or other content;
- we may share it for these purposes with AI service providers and partners who process it for us or under their own terms;
- once information has been used to train a model, it may not be possible to remove its influence from that model.
6. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: our legitimate interests in running, protecting, improving and developing the Services and our business, including AI development; the performance of our agreement with you (the Terms); your consent, where we ask for it (you can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing before then); and compliance with legal obligations.
7. Who we share it with
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us run the Services, such as hosting and database providers (currently Render), network, domain and security providers (currently Cloudflare), sign-in providers (Google, for team sign-in), app distribution platforms (Apple, including App Store and TestFlight), payment providers, analytics and crash reporting tools, and AI and software tool providers;
- Our team, contractors and AI agents working on the Game;
- Partners we work with on AI development, research or the Game;
- The public, for feedback, ideas or screenshots we choose to publish as described in section 4;
- Authorities and others when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is needed to protect rights, property or safety, or to enforce our Terms;
- A buyer, investor or successor, in connection with any merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets or bankruptcy;
- Anyone else with your consent or at your direction.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information with anyone for any purpose.
8. How long we keep it
We may keep the information we collect for as long as we decide it is useful for any of the purposes in this policy, which may be indefinitely, including after you stop using the Services and after the Game ends. We may also delete any information at any time, without notice, and we have no obligation to keep it for you. Where the law requires us to delete information sooner, or when you exercise a right to deletion that applies to you, we will do so, except where we may keep it under the law.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers may store and process information in the United States, the European Union and other countries, which may have different data protection laws from yours. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), storing your player key only as a hash, and limiting access to our team. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information. You send information to us at your own risk.
11. Your choices and rights
- Don't send it. You can play the Game without ever using FEEDBACK. Do not include personal information in feedback or screenshots that you do not want collected and used.
- Stop using the Services. You can stop at any time by deleting the Game. Deleting the Game removes your player ID from your device, but does not delete information we already have.
- Ask us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to receive a copy of it, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, send it through FEEDBACK in the Game, so that we can link it to your player ID. We will respond as required by the law that applies to you, and may need to verify your request. Where these rights do not apply, or where an exception applies, we may decline a request.
12. California and US state rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of profiling; and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. The categories of personal information we collect are those in section 2 (identifiers, internet and device activity, approximate location from IP address, the content of your messages and screenshots, and inferences from gameplay); the sources are in section 3; the purposes are in sections 4 and 5; and the recipients are in section 7. We do not sell personal information for money. To use any of these rights, contact us as described in section 19. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
13. Europe and the UK
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the rights described in section 11 under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (including AI training), and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We are the controller of your personal information for the purposes of these laws.
14. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have collected personal information from such a child, we will delete it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us through FEEDBACK.
15. Payments and donations
The Game is free today. If we later offer purchases or donations, they will be processed by Apple, Google or another payment provider, which will collect your payment details under its own privacy policy. We will receive information about the transaction (such as what was bought, when, the price and a transaction ID), but not your full card details, and may use it as described in this policy.
16. Cookies and similar technology
The public pages of the Website do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. The team area uses a cookie to keep team members signed in. The Game stores your settings, progress and player ID on your device. We may use cookies, local storage, SDKs and similar technology in the future for the purposes in this policy, and will update this policy when we do.
17. Third-party services
The Services may link to or work with third-party websites and services, such as app stores and sign-in and payment providers. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
18. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy at any time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept it. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.
19. Contact
